BLUES OWNERSHIP GROUP ADDS LOCAL BUSINESS, COMMUNITY & SPORTS LEADERS

Annapolis Blues FC are excited to announce local business, community and sports leaders have joined the Annapolis Blues Ownership Group as the club prepares for the inaugural NPSL season in 2023. Brandon & Caite Bartlett, Ethan Dietrich and Dave Johnson join former MLS General Manager Hitch and former MLS Players Kyle Beckerman and Alex Yi.

Annapolis Blues Owner & Managing Partner Hitch shared his thoughts on today’s Ownership Announcement, “One of the keys to success for a community club like the Annapolis Blues is strength of ownership that includes committed, local owners. I’m so proud to share the amazing news that Dave, Ethan, Brandon & Caite have joined the Blues ownership group. These dynamic business, community and local sports leaders share the vision for our crabby club and will be major contributors to our clubs success as the Blues give to our community by doing our small part to grow the beautiful game in Annapolis. It’s a big day for the Annapolis Blues! Welcome to the Blues Ownership Fam!”

Get to Know the new Blues Owners (if you don’t know them already)...

Brandon & Caite Bartlett

Born and raised in the Annapolis area, Brandon met Caite in high school in 1998. While Brandon went to study music in New York City and Caite went to college at Salisbury University, they had dreams of settling down in Annapolis and raising a family. Fast-forward twenty four years, they reside in Eastport with their three kids and are quite literally “living the dream”. The entrepreneurial spirit was engrained in them early on and they’ve proven to become leading small business owners in Anne Arundel County. As their businesses grew, so did their commitment to philanthropy and volunteer work in the community. Not looking to slow down anytime soon, the Bartletts are proud to be joining the NPSL fabric and Annapolis Blues FC organization to combine their love of Annapolis with their love for the sport and community of soccer. Brandon shared the following when asked about joining the Blues. “Super pumped to be a part of bringing pro soccer to Annapolis and excited to watch our community rally and support the Blues in the way only Annapolitans can!”

Ethan Dietrich

Ethan Dietrich, a local business owner, is based in Annapolis, MD. He balances his professional leadership role with active volunteer commitments as a donor to and fundraiser for several charities and as a member of the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation Board. Ethan is an Army Veteran and life-long soccer enthusiast and spends his free time with his wife and 8-year-old daughter.

When asked about joining the Annapolis Blues, Ethan added, "I am excited to be part of a community-oriented sports organization that will support up and coming US Soccer leaders and provide a forum for amateur players to engage in the next level of competition."

Dave Johnson

Dave believes in soccer and believes in Annapolis. That combination has driven one of America’s premier soccer announcers and the Washington D.C. market’s most visible media personalities to commit to the Blues. Sports fans from throughout the DMV will know Dave as the official play by play television voice of DC United (MLS), official play by play radio voice of Washington Wizards (NBA) and anchoring sports on WTOP 103.5 FM. Johnson grew up near Annapolis and went to the same high school as fellow Blues investor Kyle Beckerman, Arundel High School.

Dave added additional thoughts about joining the Annapolis Blues, “This is a dream come true. Annapolis is a special place, and I believe the Blues give us a reason to get out and enjoy our town. Support bars and restaurants before or after the game or both. Connect with friends, make new ones, laugh, yell and have fun. I can't wait for the first of many summers of Blues soccer to come. The emphasis on many because the Blues are here to connect the soccer community and grow it.”
