Dothan United has high expectations for itself, especially after reaching the National Semifinals last season. Its quest for a first division title continues this year and has gotten off to a strong start, taking all nine points available from its first three games. Columbus United has growth on the mind as it works through its second League Two season, having picked up five wins which was good for a mid-table finish a year ago. This year, Columbus has six points in four games; a win over rival Dothan, who is the team to beat so far in the South Central Division, could be the catalyst for a big summer.

It has been two weeks since Ballard FC opened up its 2026 campaign with a 3-0 win over FC Olympia in front of a full house. Midlakes United will come into Interbay Stadium with confidence after a 6-1 win over Bigfoot FC on Tuesday night and having picked up points in all three league games so far. Ballard shutout Midlakes in both head-to-head matches between the two in 2025, but with Midlakes’ offense operating at a high level this season, there could be goals galore from both clubs on Friday night.

A year ago, 12,853 fans watched Annapolis Blues FC claim victory in its home opener. This weekend, Annapolis will be eager to cause some deja vu for a packed Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium as it opens its home schedule with one win in the bag and a road clash with Patuxent Football Athletics tonight. Virginia Beach United will have no trouble taking pleasure in spoiling the Blues’ big night, as it comes into the match on a two-game winning streak and has yet to lose a match in 2026. The two clubs split the season series last year, with the away club winning each contest.

Minneapolis City SC had a flying start to 2026, earning a 6-0 win over Chicago Dutch Lions FC, with a hat trick each for Hakeem Morgan and Masango Akale. Rochester FC had a rough outing in its first match of 2026, falling 7-0 to Sueno FC, but didn’t waste time licking its wounds and picked up three points at home, completing a second-half comeback for a 3-2 win over River Light FC. In this battle of the birds, Rochester will have revenge on the mind after losing both contests against Minneapolis in 2025.

Oakland County FC and AFC Ann Arbor both missed the 2025 playoffs line in the Great Lakes Division by just a few points, meaning there’s plenty to play for in this showdown. Oakland County’s offense has been in full force so far, as Andrew Darakdjian leads the way with four goals in two games. Ann Arbor bounced back from an opening day defeat to Midwest United FC with a dramatic 2-1 home win over Lansing City Football. With playoff intentions front of mind for both clubs, this game will have a lot on the line Sunday afternoon.
