'Daniel Wellington is a long time Maryland resident, having lived most of that time in the Annapolis area. He is a married father of five who enjoys coaching youth soccer and volunteering at his children’s school. Wellington spent the largest part of his career in financial services. With a strong entrepreneurial drive, he started and built a successful global financial services company, specializing in secure commercial foreign currency payments and risk management. After his company’s sale in 2013, Wellington has focused his efforts on investing in and advising many early-stage entrepreneurial ventures across a wide range of industries. He remains an active investor in promising companies, while also building and managing a real estate portfolio.

Daniel enjoys personal interests in cycling, writing, travel, mindfulness practices and quality time with his family. He also is a board member of the DeCesaris Prout Cancer foundation, an Annapolis based non-profit organization and is actively pursuing other initiatives that will be of service to the community.
